Patient Information

CeramTec stands for high-quality advanced ceramics that set standards. For more than
45 years we have led the way in research, development and manufacturing of bioceramics around the globe. Over 10 million satisfied patients on every continent are proof of the resounding success of our products.

Our Products

We offer metal-free ceramic components for artificial joint replacement and dental implants, as well as ceramic components for medical equipment and devices. For more than four decades
we have been supplying implant manufacturers worldwide with components for the treatment of patients with joint disorders or who have lost a tooth.

Why Ceramics

Bioceramic material is characterized by its superior biocompatibility and its aesthetic appearance in the mouth. Bioceramics for joint and tooth replacement are chemically stable in a phyisological environment due to their strong bonding and high purity of the material. As a result, they are resistant to corrosion and they are safe in terms of metal ion release.1,2

More than 45 years of clinical experience and scientific research have shown that ceramics are very well tolerated. Therefore, patients with metal sensitivity may find a viable solution with ceramic.

For questions regarding your health please always consult your doctor.
