CeramTec announces change in leadership

Dr. Hadi Saleh will step down as the CEO of CeramTec and will transition to a new role as a member of the Supervisory Board by the end of 2025. Dr. Carla Kriwet has been appointed as Dr. Saleh’s successor as CEO.

From orthopedics to dentistry: advanced ceramics for long-term health

At the DEGUZ Annual Meeting in Leipzig on May 9-10, our Director of Scientific Affairs Dr. Alan Porporati shared insights that highlight a compelling convergence between orthopedics and dentistry. The event confirmed that dental practitioners are increasingly looking to the proven benefits of advanced ceramics – like BIOLOX®delta, our pink composite ceramic that has transformed orthopedic procedures such as hip replacement with its exceptional biocompatibility and wear resistance.

Reorganisation of our dental business

Our dental business will be further expanded in the coming years by increasing production capacity in Lauf and focussing sales on OEMs, white label customers and Zeramex® distributors.

This year we had the pleasure to recognize two groups of honorees. Robert Nißler’s team evaluated the use of NIR-fluorescence in imaging that could improve ceramic fracture removal surgery. Meanwhile, a retrieval study conducted by Joachim Döring’s team analyzed wear-related damage to 43 BIOLOX®delta CoC and CoP components used in hard and soft bearings.
